God of War has sold extraordinary well since release, keeping it at the top of most retail market charts since its launch. If you’re someone who still hasn’t got a copy of the game, however, then now may be the time to do so. As part of a limited-time offer, Sony has begun sending out God of War discount codes via email. This close to launch, games are rarely discounted by so much.
Sony’s God of War Discount Codes
The codes were first spotted by several Twitter users who posted screenshots of the emailed code, like user Wario64 (see below). Sony is sending the offer codes to their users via email; the 25% discount applies to both the Standard and Digital Deluxe versions of God of War, when users purchase it through the PlayStation Store.

The 25% reduction equals a $15 saving on the Standard Edition; down to $45 from $60. Meanwhile, the Digital Deluxe edition, which comes with an array of bonus content, is down to around $52.50. The codes will only be valid until 11:59 PDT, on the 19th of July. That gives fans roughly one week to claim their discounted copy of the game. Unfortunately, the codes are only available directly via emails from Sony. It’s unclear exactly how Sony is targeting these emails, but one would assume that the company is targeting registered PlayStation users who have yet to purchase the game. Of course, with the code coming via email, the codes are restricted to one per person.
God of War has seen the occasional minor sale discount since release. However, a discount of 25% is a sizable drop for a game just a few months after launch, and might well be the largest sale drop thus far for God of War. As such, if you’ve received such an email from Sony; now may be an ideal time to pick up Santa Monica Studios’ latest bestselling title.
