All the Special Events at Nakatomi Plaza in Call of Duty: Warzone

The ‘80s Action Heroes limited-time event is currently live in Call of Duty: Warzone, and players will no doubt have noticed the event’s biggest inclusion dominating the Verdansk skyline; Nakatomi Plaza, the setting of the first Die Hard movie. This multi-storey location is the tallest building in the game and plays host to three special event missions.

’80s Action Heroes – Nakatomi Plaza Events

Nakatomi Plaza is a sprawling vertical structure spread across no less than five floors. As such, it can contain a huge amount of conflict at any one time. Given its size, dominating position on the map, and stockpiles of valuable loot, it’s likely to attract a lot of players to clash within its halls. To add to the chaos, there are three special events which players can undertake within, several of which feature AI enemies.

Call of Duty Black Ops Cold War Nakatomi Plaza Special Event Missions 2

The first of these is “Deal Gone Wrong”. Players can trigger this mission in the basement. (A radio can be found in the Parking Garage section which can be used to activate the event.) When it starts, players will have to face waves of AI enemies, each ending with a special henchman armed with a Legendary weapon and unique grenade. Players can loot these weapons once the enemy is down. Plus, completing the event will earn further loot as a reward.

Special event mission #2 is “Hostile Fire”. Where the first mission is down in the basement, this mission takes place at the very top of Nakatomi Plaza, on the roof. Once activated from the roof, players will have a limited time to disarm several explosives. To make matters worse, they will also come under attack from an AI-controlled attack helicopter. Defusing all the bombs completes the event, causing reward crates to drop down onto the roof.

The final special event is “Unfinished Business,” which spans much of the tower’s interior. This mission’s format is similar to that of the Scavenger Contract; you’ll need to search the building for supply crates, which can be found throughout the many floors. Players can trigger this mission easily from the Security Booth on the first floor. Each Supply Crate found during the event contains loot, so you don’t need to follow it to completion. However, the final supply crate contains loot of a much higher value than the others.
