As Erica Lindbeck said herself, it looks like the cat is officially out of the bag. Why? Because Erica Lindbeck, known as the talent behind characters like Futaba from Persona 5 and Magilou from Tales of Berseria, is officially the voice and face behind Spider-Man’s Black Cat. If that isn’t a reason to get excited, then we don’t know what is.
Spider-Man officially released for players today, which means more than a few people called their workplace to express how very ‘sick’ they were and that they were deeply sorry but they’d try their best to be well the following Monday. Spider sickness is, after all, a rather deadly illness. Really, you’re doing your boss a favor by staying home and playing Spider-Man all day.
But now you have an even bigger reason to book October 23rd off, because in our opinion who wouldn’t do that if it meant playing the game just to hear and see what Lindbeck does with a character like Felicia Hardy.
As we mentioned above, Lindbeck is the talent behind the voices of characters that we’ve come to love even outside of what many may know her as. She’s taken the role of this generation’s Barbie, as well as voiced in outstanding AAA games such as Monster Hunter, Far Cry 5, Soul Calibur VI and Fire Emblem. To say she’s one of the biggest voices in the industry may seem subjective, but to say otherwise would be a serious mistake on our part.
Black Cat, for non-comic fans of the video game, has had quite the steamy relationship with Peter Parker. So we can’t help but wonder how the ‘The Heist’ (Spider-Man’s first DLC) will handle the two coming together.
