If Marvel’s Spider-Man for the PS4 wasn’t good enough already, it’s going to get a little bit better in the near future. If you have played through the main story and all of the side content already, then have no fear! Your friendly neighborhood Spider-Man is going to be getting a New Game Plus mode in the near future.
Developer Insomniac Games confirmed it is working on a patch that will add the mode to the PS4 exclusive soon. The good news is in addition to a heavy slate of post-launch content already planned.
yes working on it now and polishing it up!

The announcement is a reminder that sometimes it might just pay to bug developers on Twitter. Insomniac Games was asked on its official account if such a thing was in the offing. The company responded with “yes working on it now and polishing it up!”
For those not familiar with what exactly New Game Plus mode is, it’s a way to play through the game once you have finished while keeping all the upgrades, gadgets and suits you collected during your first playthrough. A relatively new creation in the video game world, not every title receives the mode.
Considering how much fun people are having just webbing their way through New York, the patch is going to make replayability that much better. Insomniac has not said exactly when the New Game Plus mode will be joining Spider-Man.
It seems Spider-Man, much like Kiddy Kong, can roll on water. (video via Reddit) pic.twitter.com/FMaefRzt5R

The title just launched on September 7 and has been getting rave reviews since it hit the Sony PlayStation 4. Despite the almost universal love for the game, there have been some people pointing out a few rather obvious glitches.
It’s possible the new mode could be hitching a ride in the near future with a patch to iron out some of those bugs. It’s also possible the New Game Plus mode could be coming along with the patch that will finally remove the incredibly sad marriage proposal that was included in the original release of Marvel’s Spider-Man.
