Respawn Brings a Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order Skin to Apex Legends

Respawn’s latest release, Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order, has been well-received by gamers and critics alike since its launch last month. Now, the studio is celebrating its launch with an addition to its other major title; Apex Legends. For a limited time, players who log in to Apex Legends can get a BD-1 skin for Pathfinder, giving the robotic Legend the look of Cal’s robotic companion from Fallen Order.

How to Get Pathfinder’s New BD-1 Skin in Apex Legends

The new BD-1 skin, called the “BP-1 Pathfinder Skin” in Apex Legends, is a new Rare skin which will be available for a month-and-a-half. To claim it, all you need to do is log into Apex Legends between now and the 14th of January. There’s no purchase necessary, you’ll get the skin automatically, and for free. Presumably, the skin was included with the new Apex Legends patch which is now live on all platforms. The patch went live on PC yesterday, but was plagued by performance issues. As a result, its console release was delayed until today (once a fix had been put in place).

Apex Legends’ 3rd season, Meltdown, launched just prior to the release of Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order on the 15th of November. That season is still ongoing and is expected to continue into the new year. In addition to the new BD-1 skin, the game’s latest patch raised the level cap from 100 to 500; a drastic change to its levelling progression system. It also added 36 new Gun Charms as a new form of cosmetic item.

Apex Legends BD-1 Skin Star Wars Jedi Fallen Order

Unlike Apex Legends, Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order is unlikely to get much post-launch content. Respawn have yet to announce any post-launch DLC, after all (indeed, there may not be any planned). Of course, with no multiplayer modes, there is also no need for the game to have a post-launch content stream in the same manner as Apex Legends. Certainly, given its positive reception, many fans would certainly be happy to see DLC announced. However, it’s just as likely that Respawn will turn their attentions to their next planned project, whatever that may be.
