Given that Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order and Apex Legends were both developed by the same studio, the inclusion of an Easter egg or two which reference the other title was always a likely possibility. Indeed, Respawn Entertainment recently added a BD-1 skin to Apex Legends to celebrate the release of Fallen Order. Now, Respawn’s Senior Writer has confirmed the existence of one subtle Apex Legends Easter egg; one which references their newer Star Wars title.
The Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order and Apex Legends Easter Egg
Manny Hagopian, the Senior Writer at Respawn, recently teased on social media that there was at least one Apex Legends Easter egg which remained undiscovered; prompting fans to scour the game in search of some hidden reference to Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order. Eventually, after some searching, one fan has been successful in finding it. As it turns out, the Easter egg is, of all things, the name of Mirage’s great-grandfather.
In Apex Legends, Mirage is the great-grandson of a man by the name of ‘Gryz Witt’, whose name appears in lore text. According to Hagopian, this name is a reference to Greez Dritus; the alien pilot from Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order. Overall, it’s a fairly minor nod to the newer title. However, it’s always interesting to see developers work in little nods of this sort to their other games in ways that aren’t overly intrusive.
Hagopian’s tease of an undiscovered Easter egg came shortly after Respawn released a new Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order skin in Apex Legends. This skin, which is available for free, turns Pathfinder the same colours as BD-1, the robot from Fallen Order. In fact, this skin is still available in-game, and will be available until the 14th of January. All you need to do to claim the skin is to log in to Apex Legends between now and then. It should download automatically and be available for use with Pathfinder.
