The exciting news that the game will be heading to iPhone wasn’t the only good news. The fact you won’t have to wait long at all before you can jump right in is also something to be smile at. Of course, those who own an Android phone will no doubt be feeling a little on edge. But not to worry, as expressed in the Stardew Valley blog, “the Secret Police are currently working on” the Android version.
That said, there are a few questions that will be on everyone’s mind. What will Stardew Valley iPhone have, and will it match up to other platforms? Thankfully, we’re here to help.
What features will Stardew Valley have on the iPhone?
The following information comes directly from the Stardew Valley blog.
- Supports iPhone and iPad gaming.
- The full game, not a cut down version. It plays almost identically to all other versions.
- The main difference is that it has been rebuilt for touch-screen gameplay on iOS (new UI, menu systems and controls).
- £7.99 / $7.99 / 8,99 € with no in-app purchases. Microtransactions, eat your heart out.
- Includes 1.3 single player content, such as the Night Market, but not Multiplayer
- PC players can transfer their save data to the iOS version via iTunes – but make sure to always back up your save data first!
- Mods are not supported, and any save data transferred containing mods may cause compatibility issues.
The lack of mods may be a dealbreaker for some, but overall it seems as Stardew Valley on iPhone won’t mean missing out on anything significant.
Stardew Valley for iPhone is set to release on October 28th, 2018.
