Bandai Namco announced at TGS 2018 today that both Sword Art Online: Hollow Realization and Fatal Bullet are coming to Nintendo Switch. Hollow Realization will be the exact same game that is already currently available on PS4, PlayStation Vita, and PC while Fatal Bullet will be coming as Fatal Bullet Complete Edition when it releases on the hybrid console.
No specific release dates were given for Sword Art Online: Hollow Realization and Fatal Bullet Complete Edition. Fatal Bullet Complete Edition will include the base game and all subsequent DLC expansions, of which there are currently three. A fourth expansion, Dissonance of the Nexus, was announced alongside the Nintendo Switch releases.
Dissonance of the Nexus will be also included in the Sword Art Online: Fatal Bullet Complete Edition package on Nintendo Switch at launch. Meanwhile, there will be a PC version of Lost Song on its way, the PS4 and Vita game centered around the second MMORPG in the series Alfheim Online. Lost Song has yet to be confirmed for Switch.
Unfortunately, Bandai Namco has yet to confirm a Western release for any of these three games at TGS 2018, which is understandable. Make sure to stay tuned for that inevitable confirmation in the near future. The Sword Art Online series follows Kirito and his friends as they embark on journeys in various MMORPG’s.
The latest game in the series, Fatal Bullet, finally took players to the first-person shooter game Gun Gale Online that was worthy of its own anime adaptation spin-off. The series is still going strong, about to release its third season next month that takes players to a brand new exciting realm. It remains to be seen if there will be a new game in the near future announced by Bandai Namco that will take players there but it definitely makes sense.
