Tencent Has Released an Official PUBG Mobile Emulator

Ever wished you could play the mobile version of PUBG on PC for some reason? Maybe you just really prefer to play the mobile game with friends who don’t have the PC or Xbox One version, but didn’t know what to do? Now, thanks to Tencent, you can play on PC using both mouse and keyboard controls. This bizarre development means you can enjoy the game that you’d normally take on the go with you on your home computer. Pretty weird, but there must be some sort of demand, after all.

You can download the emulator here, though be advised that it doesn’t have the same exact functionality in terms of matchmaking as the regular game. As it stands, right now you can only be matchmade with other players on the emulator, so you’ll be stuck with a pretty small player pool for a little while. But that seems to be a temporary roadblock and will likely change in the future. The emulator is still in beta mode at the moment, so it’ll need some extra work before it can accommodate everything the regular game can do.

Otherwise, this is the official game on mobile, and if you for some reason prefer to play this downsized version on PC instead of the regular game, you’re certainly welcome to do that. It’s certainly an interesting concept, especially the fact that an emulator was created by an official representative for the game. This is typically the kind of fan project that gets made and then shut down by companies like Tencent.

If you’re interested, head over to the official download page and swipe the emulator for more bizarre happenings in the world of PUBG.
