Like any good open-world game, The Division 2 is chock full of easter eggs and secrets. One secret in particular allows players to unlock a special ‘Retro Field Uniform’ outfit for their character. In this guide we’ll explain how to find and complete the hidden mission which unlocks the Retro Field Uniform.
The Division 2 Hidden Retro Field Uniform Mission
You can’t access the Retro Field Uniform mission until you reach the late-game Foggy Bottom portion of the game. Once you have access to Foggy Bottom, you’ll also want to locate and liberate the Navy Hill Control Point. With Navy Hill under your control, follow the road south out of the Control Point. The road will curve around towards a small grouping of buildings as seen in the below image.
Proceed to the marker outlined in the above image and you’ll spot an open green door leading into a building. Inside is a ladder leading down into an underground safe area with an NPC named Jane Applegate. Interact with Applegate and she’ll give you a special side mission involving a hidden cipher she can’t decode.
Proceed over to the area indicated in the side mission and fight off the group of enemies you find there. Next, proceed into the observatory and up the stairs. At the top of the stairs is a painting you can interact with. Behind the painting is a button which, when pressed, opens up a hidden tunnel nearby.
Traverse through the tunnel, looting any caches you find. You’ll eventually reach a large underground office area with a map you can pilfer from a desk. Keep going through past the office and you’ll reach a larger room with more enemies. Defeat the enemies and then exit the area to complete the mission. Doing so unlocks the Retro Field Uniform outfit along with some XP. Having the map also triggers a follow-up side-mission called the ‘G Phillips Protocol,’ but that mission merely awards some XP upon completion.
