Ubisoft has announced the start date for The Division 2’s upcoming private beta. The beta kicks off in early February and runs for a total of three days. Pre-ordering any version of The Division 2 guarantees a spot in the upcoming beta.
The Division 2 Private Beta Start Date
According to Ubisoft, The Division 2’s beta runs from Thursday, February 7, to Sunday, February 10. The specific contents of the beta haven’t been reveled yet, but it will likely include story-based PvE content. There’s also a chance that the beta will allow participants to partake in PvP activities. Like its predecessor, The Division 2 includes both structured PvP and the more open Dark Zone where PvP is enabled. The Division’s beta featured a limited version of the Dark Zone but it’s not clear if the sequel will also.
To its credit, Ubisoft has also acknowledged that some fans might not want to commit to a pre-order. A sign-up page on The Division 2 website allows interested users to opt into the beta without pre-ordering. However, as you might have guessed, signing up in this fashion doesn’t guarantee a beta spot.
Along with the beta announcement, Ubisoft also released a new story trailer for The Division 2. The trailer, which you can watch below, summarizes the game’s plot while also teasing the various dangers players will encounter. Much like in the first game, there are multiple enemy factions roaming the streets of post-apocalyptic Washington D.C. Fortunately, The Division 2 players are equipped with a few new tricks and tools to even the odds.
The Division 2 launches in full on March 15 for Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC. If you want to ensure your PC can run it, we recently posted the sequel’s PC system requirements. Also, if you’re planning on buying the PC version, just know that Steam won’t be an option.
