Without having any confirmation yet about whether there will actually be a Doom 2 announcement at E3 by Bethesda, despite the fact that it did tease it back in April, the most discussed topic among the Doom players and fans right now is the new Doom movie, which has just finished filming.

The original announcement came from actress and singer Nina Bergman back in April, when she tweeted that she will be making a new Doom movie with Universal Pictures. After this, many tweets with pictures from behind the scenes were posted on Twitter, giving us glimpses at the familiar set.
Speaking of this past movie, it was a controversial one with many commenting that it is one of worst films ever for actors John Grimm and Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson. I must agree since I did not enjoy the film as much as I enjoyed the video games, but I found its twist pretty good and I thought it was a nice horror/adventure movie to watch if you want to pass the time.
The next Doom film is expected in 2019. Many people are expecting a clone of the classic Resident Evil films or something very similar to the 2005 Doom movie. Meanwhile, the brand new tweets about the finished project gave us some more insights into the crew and the actors starring in it.
The new movie is being handled by Universal 1440 Entertainment, which is basically telling us that we should not expect to watch it in the theaters but merely on Netflix or direct to DVD/Blu-Ray. Universal 1440 Entertainment is known for making movies which never get released in the theaters and we should not expect the new Doom film to be handled differently.
