With two new Legendary Lords, a host of new units, and new faction mechanics, the DLC offers a lot for fans of the game.
Total War: Warhammer 2 DLC The Prophet and The Warlock Available Tomorrow
The Prophet and The Warlock will launch tomorrow, and to mark the occasion, Creative Assembly will be doing an all-day livestream to show off the new DLC content. That content comprises a major update to both the Lizardmen and Skaven factions, each themed around a new Legendary Lord. The Lizardmen get Tehenhauin, the Prophet of Sotek, while the Skaven get the mad Warlock-Engineer Ikit Claw. Both have their own ultimate army ability; the Invocation of Sotek and Doom Rockets, respectively.
Alongside the new Lords, Creative Assembly is adding a host of new units and Regiments of Renown to both factions. This includes monstrous beasts like the Lizardmen Salamanders as well as new Skaven war machines like the Doom-Flayers, the latter of which is also a new mount option. While the Lizardmen get access to a new campaign mechanic called ‘Sacrifices to Sotek,’ which allow them to gain buffs and unlock Regiments of Renown, the Skaven get a new ‘Forbidden Workshop’. This allows them to apply special upgrades to their mechanic units, including weapon teams, Doomwheels, and so on.
Both factions get brand-new quest chains to go along with their new Legendary Lords, of course, as well as new battle maps. All of this will be available to purchase tomorrow. However, whether fans pick it up or not, all players will also get the Doomsayer Update for free, as well as the new Free-LC. This pack adds another new Lizardmen Legendary Lord; Tiktaq’to, the Master of Skies.
