The Prophet and The Warlock DLC is Now Available
Total War: Warhammer 2’s newest DLC is a major expansion for the Lizardmen and Skaven factions. While it follows the format of previous Lord pack DLCs like The Queen and The Crone, it may well be the largest such pack ever released. Not only does it bring new units and Regiments of Renown for both factions, it also brings some major new campaign mechanics; the Skaven Forbidden Workshop, for example, along with the new Sacrifice system and the terrifying Doomsphere.
Of course, the focus of a Lord pack DLC is always on two new Legendary Lords. “The Prophet and The Warlock” refers to Tehenhauin, the Prophet of Sotek, and Skaven Warlock-Engineer Ikit Claw. While Tehenhauin is a slightly obscure character from the original lore, Ikit Claw is a major Skaven figure. A third new Legendary Lord, Tiktaq’to, is also available to the Lizardmen as a Free-LC release.
The new DLC also launches alongside the Doomsayer Update, a big game update which brings a host of balance tweaks and alterations. It also includes a major rework for Bretonnia and two new campaign mechanics. These are the Skaven Under-Empire and Lord Kroak; a special and unique new Lizardmen Hero who can be recruited through a quest battle.
