A decade before Fallout, there was Wasteland, the post-apocalyptic classic which came out in 1988. We got Wasteland 2 in 2014, and now, Wasteland 3 is finally on the way. What is the release date? We still do not know the exact date, unfortunately. But we have a cool new trailer to check out, and we now have a Wasteland 3 release window as well.
The Wasteland 3 Release Window is 2020
Microsoft showed off the Wasteland 3 trailer during their conference at E3. So check it out below!
The new game takes us to Colorado Springs, inviting players to explore a “post-apocalyptic winter wonderland,” complete with plenty of enemies, activities and weapons. With its playful tone and fun new setting, it looks like an adventure packed with plenty of action and lots of laughs.
There are going to be some exciting new features in Wasteland 3 as well, some of which are based on fan requests. An online co-op mode will be available so you can tackle the challenges of the Colorado Springs wasteland with a friend. You also will be able to get a vehicle which you can customize (what a fabulous feature—why don’t we see this in more games?).

Wasteland 3 will release on PS4, Xbox One and Windows PC, and will come out sometime in spring 2020. So that is a change from the fall release date of Wasteland 2 back in 2014.
But this is just one of the many thrilling trailers to emerge during E3 2019. If you haven’t yet, you should check out a few of the rest! To start with, take a look at the exciting new trailer for Watch Dogs Legion, which takes us to post-Brexit London. Next, watch the trailer for Dying Light 2 to get a glimpse of another post-apocalyptic adventure. Finally, if you enjoy Wasteland, you probably also like Fallout, which may mean you are a fan of Obsidian Entertainment. Don’t miss the trailer for Obsidian’s forthcoming game The Outer Worlds.
But these are just some of the exciting updates which have emerged from E3, and the convention is still ongoing. Want to make sure you don’t miss out on any of the news?
