Pokemon GO has become an endless roller coaster of events and festivals over the past summer. After the Safaris and all anniversary celebrations, Niantic is now preparing more special festivities for fans. According to a popular source, there could be a Pokemon GO Halloween Event coming soon.
Will a Pokemon GO Halloween Event be announced soon?
According to TheSilphRoad subreddit, a newsletter screenshot has emerged, indicating that a Pokemon GO Halloween Event is in the works. As it says:
“Breaking news! Breaking news, trainers!” the newsletter said. “Prof. Willow has reported a wave of frights and scares nearby. Could this be the work of a Ghost-type Pokémon? Stay tuned to find out.”
You can already tell, that Ghost-type Pokemon might be involved. If it wasn’t for the month-long Kanto event, we would say that we’re excited. Now, however, a bunch of Ghastlys and Houndooms don’t seem so enticing.
Undeniably, we’d be interested in getting some Ghost-type Pokemon from the second and third generations. Although it’s a wild dream, we’d love to see a Mimikyu raiding Pokemon GO. This is extremely unlikely to happen though.
Right now, Pokemon GO is holding a Psychic event. This means that areas are swarming with psychic Pokemon. So, if you’re missing any Drowseys or Abras or Slowpokes, go ahead and log in to Pokemon GO.
Additionally, the Field Research reward for October is Suicune. This wraps up the Legendary Beast trio reward months, after Entei and Raikou. Which could be next? We believe it could be the legendary Regi trio, which we have seen in raids during the summer.
If the teases about the Pokemon GO Halloween event are true then we expect some more bonuses to be added as well. For instance, longer lures, more drops on Pokestop spins and possibly shorter hatch times. Nothing is announced yet, but we can speculate, taking what has already been conducted during the past months in mind. We shall know more when Niantic finally spills the beans about it.
