The Nexus War is over in Fortnite, and now Agent Jones needs to stabilize the Zero Point with the help of various hunters. Crossing over from other universes and different franchises, those hunters already include epic characters like The Mandalorian. And now, Kratos from God of War is on his way to Fortnite in a God of War Fortnite crossover.
Kratos is Coming to Fortnite in a God of War Fortnite Crossover
The God of War Fortnite crossover was announced in this tweet from the official PlayStation account:
The tweet includes an audio tease from Agent Jones, who talks about how the next hunter he is recruiting has “literally vanquished multiple gods with his bare hands in a fit of uncontrollable rage.”
Obviously, that can be none other than Kratos, even though his name is not mentioned in the clip. Plus, at ResetEra, an image of Kratos in Fortnite has cropped up, which pretty much confirms it.
How are players reacting to the news? Well, one might think they would be happier, actually. Kratos is obviously a very popular characters, so one might imagine that bringing him to Fortnite would be fun for players who enjoy both games. But there has actually been a fair amount of backlash. Why? Some players think that it is inappropriate for reasons related to content. They feel kids playing Fortnite should not be exposed to God of War. Others simply feel that Kratos is too revered a character to show up in such a non-serious context as Fortnite. Still others are taking the opportunity to tell Sony that all they care about right now is PS5 pre-orders, and how hard they are to come by.
Regardless, Kratos is on his way. Will he only be available to gamers on PlayStation consoles, or will he be available to gamers regardless of platform? We don’t know. Regardless, you can follow our Fortnite news for more updates and rumors about the addicting battle royale game.
