A number of scorestreaks have already been confirmed. These are Hellstorm Missile, Strike Team and RC-XD. The tweet also mentions “and more,” alluding to some new scorestreaks.
PlayStation 4 gamers who have been invited to participate in the multiplayer beta will be able to do so on August 3rd. Those who will be playing on Xbox One and PC will need to wait until the weekend after. This is all leading up to the release of Blackout during the first week in September.
“This is an exciting opportunity for us at Treyarch because – not only are we putting more content into players’ hands earlier than ever before – we get to break new ground by hosting two separate Beta experiences,” said Co-Studio Head Dan Bunting. “Games are better when they’re a result of a dialogue with our community. Not only does it improve the game’s quality, but it allows us to respond to player feedback and custom-craft the experience to how players engage most with the game. We want launch day to be a celebration that players around the world can enjoy together, and we know it won’t stop there – we will always work tirelessly to improve, grow, and evolve the game beyond launch.”
Players participating in the beta will have a chance to win some rewards. Everyone who takes part will be given a unique calling card. Those who are able to max out their ranks will also each receive a Permanent Unlock Token. This can be used for any Create-a-Class content.
During the beta, players will have a chance to play a variety of game modes including Team Deathmatch, Hardpoint, Domination, Search & Destroy, and the new Control mode.
If you are getting a chance to participate in the beta, have fun. Otherwise, get in your pre-order so you can enjoy Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 when it comes out on October 12th!
