With so much fervor surrounding Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 and its Black Ops Pass, it’s good to know everything about the situation, including what could potentially be free parts of the service. It looks like new information has surfaced that insinuates that Activision could indeed have some free parts of the upcoming Black Ops pass, which is great news for anyone who was previously frustrated by the lack of options to buy it separately.
As it turns out, Activision is actually looking to release more free content for Black Ops 4 than any other game in the history of Call of Duty, including new free specialists after launch, and even a smattering of community events. Just like there are plenty of community events right now in Call of Duty: WWII, there should be a ton of those coming for fans to interact with for free after Black Ops 4 debuts.
There will also be opportunities for players to play some of the Black Ops Pass’s DLC maps during special events. These are all things that are expected, but it’s not clear yet if these details will sate players frustrated with the pricing situation and how you have to obtain the Black Ops Pass.
As it stands, at least we know there’s a beta coming up, so that should ease any concerns that the Black Ops Pass’ content somehow isn’t worth getting, or that it’s a waste of money. Longtime fans should know what they’re getting into, and what kind of value awaits them in terms of the Black Ops Pass, but for newbies, it’s good that much of the pass will be up for grabs for free at some point.
Will you be picking up the Black Ops Pass when it’s available, or will you have too much to do with the base game? Make sure you let us know!
