If you are playing Fortnite on a console, you probably cringe sometimes when you’re using the build system. In fact, tensions can be pretty high when you need to complete your edit fast in order to survive. And how many times have you wanted to hurl the controller across the room when having to click to confirm when editing in Fortnite gets you killed? Well, there may be a solution.
An Innovative Gamer Has an Answer
tamez_a on Reddit has come up with a cool idea to speed up build edits in Fortnite matches. It would be ridiculously simple to implement. Check it out.
If you cannot view the image, it simply suggests that instead of the “click to confirm” system which we use now, a “press and release” system should be put in place. This would eliminate the entire need to take the click action. The result would be that gamers can save that vital fraction of a second.
That fraction of a second could determine the outcome of the match. We think it is a great idea, because match outcomes should be determined by skill, not by the faults of a flawed editing system.
Epic Games has a solid relationship with the Fortnite gamer base and a strong awareness of what is going on with social media. Hopefully that means that they will pick up on this idea and consider following this fan’s suggestion for streamlining the edit system. Console gamers everywhere would thank them.
While we have no idea whether this could go anywhere, we do know that Epic Games is busy working on improvements for mobile players. You can keep up with this and other developments in our Fortnite news section. If anything does come to pass with the “drag and release” build system idea, we’ll let you know!
