THQ Nordic has announced its Gamescom 2018 lineup for next month of what games it will be showing off at the upcoming convention in Germany. It will be bringing a total of eight games to the trade show with most of them playable. Interestingly enough, the lineup gives us some hints at what’s to come.
There are the games we already knew about – Biomutant, Darksiders 3, Fade to Silence, Townsmen VR, and Wreckfest – but there are some surprises included as well. THQ Nordic announced in a separate press release that it will be providing worldwide distribution as publisher of Avalanche Studios’ upcoming 2019 open-world action game Generation Zero.

But that’s not all. THQ Nordic will be also announcing two games either between now and Gamescom or at the show itself. There are two “unannounced” games at the tail end of its lineup for the show. Only one of the two games was given any hints as to when we will find out about it. According to the publisher, the game is a “world exclusive announcement” that will break news during the Gamescom opening ceremony.
While we don’t know if either of the two unannounced games will be playable on the show floor, we do know which of the other games will be. Four of the six announced games will be playable at Gamescom next month. Those games are Biomutant, which was oddly absent from E3 this year, Darksiders 3, Fade to Silence, and Avalanche Studios’ Generation Zero.
Townsmen VR and Wreckfest seem to be skipping the show in terms of playability. Gamescom will be taking place next month from August 21st through the 25th in Cologne, Germany. Check back here for the full announcements of the two THQ Nordic games. While we wait for Gamescom to arrive, read up on our latest coverage of Darksiders 3 and Generation Zero.
