Time Heals All: Revisiting the Spirit in God of War’s Fafnir’s Storeroom

During the course of God of War, the dwarf vendors Brok and Sindri give you a number of different side-quests. After you have completed the “Fafnir’s Hoard” Favor for Sindri, the dwarf will give you a second Favor called “Family Business“. This quest tasks you with recovering a whetstone from Northri Stronghold. Near the end of that quest, after you defeat the Traveler, you will find a scroll that will send you back to Fafnir’s Storeroom for a new Favor called “Time Heals All”.

This Favor is very short, and doesn’t pose much danger. However, completing it is definitely worthwhile. The reward for completing the story started in Fafnir’s Storeroom and continued in Family Business is valuable indeed.

When you first recover the scroll during Family Business, Atreus suggests that you return to the restless spirit which you previously met in Fafnir’s Storeroom. The Favor that follows resolves the lore surrounding the story of a pirate and his son and their troubled history. Recovering the scroll adds the Time Heals All Favor to the Wayward Spirits tab in your Codex.

Returning to Fafnir’s Storeroom

From Northri Stronghold, head back across the Lake of Nine to reach Fafnir’s Storeroom. Once you arrive in the ruined hoard, head to the central hub chamber, then enter the final of the storeroom’s five chambers. The spirit will be waiting for you there. Once you approach, the spirit will wake up and harangue you for coming back to him. However, when you speak to him, Atreus will relay what you learned from the scroll which you found in Northri Stronghold.

Once the restless spirit has learned of his son’s fate from Atreus, he will be at peace. More importantly, he will reward you with Tyr’s Shard, an enchantment which provides boosts to every one of Kratos’ statistics.
