In Dragon Ball FighterZ, an alarming situation rose once the FGC faced DBFZ tournament closures. Tournament hosts were forced to pull DBFZ from their tournaments for seemingly unknown reasons. Some players were quick to cast suspicion on Toei Entertainment themselves.
However, a shocking development on the story has left many more people confused. As Toei has recently stated on Twitter that they have no involvement about the recent DBFZ tournament closures. As such, the FGC is desperately searching for answers regarding who or what is responsible for this.
The DBFZ Tournament Closures Mystery Ramps Up.
In a tweet celebrating the 20th anniversary of One Piece. A DBFZ fan immediately tweeted against TOEI Entertainment, stating that their – alleged – involvement with the DBFZ tournament closures was against One Piece’s morals. However, TOEI answered this particular tweet with the following, chilling statement.
Apologies, but we have no knowledge about preventing DBFZ tournaments.

Many fans have quickly begun to wonder whether or not Toei’s answer is true. Some fans reacted with obvious skepticism while others began suspecting form Shueisha. For those who don’t know, Shueisha is the current holder of the Dragon Ball Z brand. As such, they could be very likely suspects in this case.
However, another likely suspect could also be Bandai-Namco themselves. As they have had some history of asking non-authorized tournaments to cancel their tournaments. This isn’t a smoking gun, however. So we suggest our readers to not jump to conclusions.
As said before. There’s no doubt that players will continue to play DBFZ as usual. However, now that there’s this air of uncertainty among competitive players. Who could possibly know what caused the DBFZ tournament closures? Perhaps the answer might be revealed sooner than later.
A popular streamer called Lythero recently made this statement in response to Toei’s tweet.
Please address it then @ToeiAnimation
Our community is -very- concerned about it
Your game was thriving, but it's suffering harshly now.
You probably have the power to do something about it. https://t.co/zAX2Lo8X3n

This statement is very important for many reasons. The main one is the fact that the community will continue jumping to conclusions until something is told. Either by tournament organizers or by Toei, Bandai-Namco, or Shueisha themselves.
What do you think about this situation? Do you suspect any particular party? Do you think this series of events has an impact on the FGC?
