Almost three months ago, Creative Assembly released Total War Saga: Troy, the third installment of their Total War Saga franchise. Since then, the game has gotten several updates and expansions, including the Amazons DLC. Now, the studio has announced the first physical retail edition of the game, which will come with Amazons included.
The Total War Saga: Troy Physical Edition
“If you haven’t already grabbed a copy of the Aegean escapade known as A Total War Saga: TROY, why not pick up this brand-new physical release?” writes Creative Assembly; “A Total War Saga: TROY is getting its very own physical release that includes the Amazons DLC. With ten of the greatest Greek heroes to choose from, this is a fantastic entry point for anybody looking to get into TROY.”

The Troy physical edition will soon be available from select physical retailers. It includes the base game along with the Amazons DLC, plus some physical extras; a CD containing wallpaper and key art from the game, ten limited edition art cards featuring the game’s playable heroes, and a double-sided map poster. Note that the retail edition doesn’t include the game on a disc; rather, it will include an activation sticker for the game on the Epic Games Store.
Total War Saga: Troy is currently exclusive to the Epic Games Store for one year as part of a deal between the platform and Creative Assembly. That deal meant that gamers were able to download the game for free on its launch day. Indeed, that offer resulted in enormous download numbers for a Saga title; more than one million in its first hour alone! The Amazons DLC, similarly, was available to download for free for one week at launch. Its currently unknown whether similar deals will be available for future DLC. Whatever the case, there is more DLC on the way according to the game’s roadmap.
