As it turns out, Borderlands: Game of the Year Edition isn’t the only game you can play for free this weekend. If you’re a PC gamer, you can currently play Total War: Warhammer 2 completely free, at least until the start of next week. However, Creative Assembly is also offering significant sales discounts across the franchise and its many DLC add-ons, with current prices up to 75% off.
Total War: Warhammer 2 Free Weekend & Sale Discounts
At present, Total War: Warhammer 2 is available to play for free, but only for a very limited time. This free event will be ending on the evening of Sunday the 19th at 21:00 BST. However, the Total War: Warhammer franchise sale will be live for a little longer, ending next week at 18:00 BST on the 23rd of April. Although the game’s many DLC add-ons aren’t free-to-play during the event, its Free-LC releases are, though you will have to manually download these separately. Most notably, these include the Mortal Empires campaign expansion.

If you want to pick up Total War: Warhammer 2 for the first time, the game is currently 66% off on Steam, while the first instalment of the franchise is 75% off. It should be noted that if you own the first game, you’ll be able to play as all of its races in the Mortal Empires campaign of the second game. With the exception of the two games’ respective Blood Effects Packs, all of the Total War: Warhammer DLC add-ons are also currently available at discount prices.
In the case of the second game, both of its Race Pack DLCs are 50% off. Meanwhile, The Queen and The Crone Lord Pack is also 50% off. The game’s three latest DLC releases have varying discounts, however. The Prophet and The Warlock is 33% off, first of all, while The Hunter and The Beast is 25% off. Finally, you can get the newest The Shadow and The Blade DLC for 10% off. Over in the first Total War: Warhammer, all six of its DLC add-ons are simply 50% off.
