Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 is counting hours away from its release and it has already won over millions of fans across the globe. One of its most loved mode, Blackout will finally step into the “battle royale competition”. To start off on the right foot, here are some of the most preffered areas to drop, according to its beta statistics.
Treyarch reveals Blackout Heat Map
In a recent Twitter post, Treyarch has provided fans with a heat map that shows what areas players choose to drop in. As with any other battle royale, we have some top tier areas in here too. As you can see from the picture below, the center of the map is where the magic happens.
As you can see, areas like Nuketown Island and Estates are the most popular. However, there’s a strange symmetry to the population on the map. Clearly, there are less players on the far bottom right. This is mostly due to the fact that it has no named areas.
Treyarch has expected the middle to be more preffered by players. They have revealed that this would be the case last month. We expect them to release such a heat map in the future as well. This will provide new players with useful information about its gameplay.
For instance, if you’re new, you should probably avoid landing on named locations. Call of Duty is all about shooting but sometimes, reaching the top 10 requires some sneaky moves. If you’ve played PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds, you will know what to do at this point.
We’ll have more to share on the Blackout areas as soon as the game releases. Its first days will determine which areas are the best to loot, the best for intense fighting and more. Stay tuned to VGR for more.
