Treyarch Studios and Raven Software Developing Next Call of Duty
Been wondering who is developing the next installment in the Call of Duty series? Now we know the answer. It is Treyarch Studios and Raven Software. We found out during the recent earnings call from Activision. After Activision announced the names of the studios, the studios themselves confirmed the news as well online.
Treyarch Studios and Raven Software Collaborating on Next COD Game
Following the earnings call, Treyarch Studios tweeted:
Treyarch wrote in the tweet, “It’s official. Looking forward to showing you what we’ve been cooking up with @RavenSoftware!”
If you have played any of the Call of Duty Black Ops games, you are familiar with Treyarch and the COD content they produce.
Raven Software made this tweet:
The text says, “We are excited to announce our partnership with @Treyarch on this year’s Call of Duty! Can’t wait to show you more!”
Like Treyarch, Raven Software has a longstanding history making Call of Duty games. Indeed, they worked on Call of Duty: Black Ops as well as Call of Duty: Modern Warfare (as well as Warzone).
Despite the fact that it shouldn’t be too long before the release of the next COD game, we know next to nothing right now regarding what to expect. The choice of developers may give us some hint. But we don’t know the title or the theme of the game right now (but some people think it may involve Black Ops again and/or something Cold War-related). Could there be a zombies mode? It seems possible, what with Treyarch developing the game.
