As the month of March comes to an end, so too are two different Borderlands 3 events, both of which launched earlier this week. Fans of the game only have a couple of days left to take advantage of the boons on offer in the Door Busters and Takedown Shakedown events. On the 2nd of April, they’ll be drawing to a close. HOwever, Co-op Loot Drop will remain active, and new mini-events are set to launch almost immediately.
Borderlands 3 Events Ending: Door Busters & Takedown Shakedown
In the last week, Gearbox followed the release of the Guns, Love, and Tentacles Borderlands 3 DLC with three seperate in-game events. Door Busters and Takedown Shakedown are both mini-events, only live for around a week. Co-op Loot Drop, on the other hand, is more long-term and will be running throughout the rest of April. If you want to take advantage of the two mini-events before they end, you’ll need to do so quickly. After all, both will be ending at 8:59 AM PDT on the 2nd of April.
The first, Takedown Shakedown, is a relatively small event. As the name implies, it impacts the Takedown at the Maliwan Blacksite mission; while the event is live, the mission’s mini-bosses and final boss have boosted loot drop chances. Meanwhile, the Door Busters mini-event is a more general event of sorts. While it’s active, the event causes a range of Legendary items to appear in Borderlands 3’s vending machines, scattered all throughout the game.
Due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, Gearbox has announced its intentions to keep rolling out new mini-events throughout the next month, layered on top of the Co-op Loot Drop event. (An event which causes Badass enemies to drop more loot if you’re playing co-op.) As such, at least one new week-long event is expected to launch at some point on the 2nd.
