Tyler “Ninja” Blevins Says Fortnite Requires More Skill Than PUBG

What team are you on: Team PUBG or Team Fortnite? Or maybe you enjoy playing both and hate having to choose. It looks like Twitch’s star streamer Tyler “Ninja” Blevins is firmly standing on Fortnite’s side, if his recent comments on Ethan and Hila Klein’s H3 Podcast are to be believed. And why wouldn’t he be, after he started making the big bucks, amassing at least $500k a month just streaming the game for people worldwide?

Ninja believes that Fortnite is actually harder to play and master than PUBG, which is the opposite argument of what people usually tend to make online. Lots of players like to label Fortnite as the “for babies” version of the more realistic-looking PUBG, which isn’t true at all, but we all know how people like to use hyperbole.

“A lot of people are like, ‘PUBG’ requires so much more skill because there’s no building,” Ninja said. “Exact opposite,” he opined before launching into an explanation of why he feels that way.

“If someone in ‘PUBG’ sees you from a mile away with a 15x scope, they can hide in a building and kill you. It’s not difficult to shoot a gun and hit somebody. Gun skill is never the main reason why someone is talented at a game. It’s literally their decision making.”

Those are valid points, but if anyone could just “shoot a gun and hit somebody” then why are some people way worse at games than others, eh? Ninja continued as such:

“The shooting is not the difficult part — it’s building,” he said. “You’ll find that there aren’t that many talented players in every game, so if you just build simple structures you can win.”

This is a debate that would obviously rage on for days if we tried to list the merits of both titles, as they both have their ups and downs and reasons that players would want to jump in one instead of the other.
