New Unofficial Fallout 4 Patch Seeks to Fix a Host of Bugs and Problems

A new version of the Unofficial Fallout 4 Patch; an ongoing mod project, has now been released. The first version of the Unofficial Patch was released back in April of 2016; less than a year after the release of Fallout 4. Version 2.05 introduces a huge number of new fixes to address lingering bugs in the game.

The Unofficial Fallout 4 Patch Version 2.05

The goal of the Unofficial Fallout 4 Patch is to be a comprehensive patch for the 2015 Fallout title. Although Bethesda has already released numerous patches to fix bugs in Fallout 4 themselves, there are still plenty of minor bugs. The Unofficial Fallout 4 Patch mod has been gradually fixing as many as the Unofficial Patch Project Team can find; “The goal of the Unofficial Fallout 4 Patch (aka UFO4P),” says the mod’s official description on NexusMods“is to eventually fix every bug with Fallout 4 not officially resolved by the developers to the limits of the Creation Kit and community-developed tools, in one easy-to-install package.”

Unofficial Fallout 4 Patch Addresses a Host of New Bugs

The Unofficial Fallout 4 Patch requires the Fallout 4 patch 1.10.111 or greater in order to function. It already included hundreds of bug fixes, spanning quest bugs, problems with NPCs, objects & items, and placement issues. The mod’s creators, the Unofficial Patch Project Team, also have similar mods for both Oblivion and Skyrim. One of their priorities is to ensure that the patch mod does not interfere with other mods; thus, using the patch shouldn’t prevent players from using other mods with Fallout 4.

Certainly, it is a mod with a massive and enduring community. The patch already has more than 2.5 million downloads since its release, and has almost 65,000 endorsements on NexusMods. The full patch notes for the patch, including version 2.05, can be found here. The notes feature a bug tracker which allows users to search for any specific problem and find out whether a fix is out yet.
