Valkyria Chronicles 4 Release Date Finally Announced for North America and Europe

The Valkyria Chronicles 4 release date has finally been announced by SEGA. The game will be arriving in North America and Europe on the same day. Eager fans can be happy to know that the release date isn’t as far as we initially thought. Previous leaks and hints from retailers like Amazon gave us the idea that it would be coming in October, but that isn’t the case at all.

The Valkyria Chronicles 4 release date is actually much closer than we expected. The highly anticipated sequel will be releasing on Nintendo Switch, PC, PS4, and Xbox One on September 25th, 2018. The game is available for preorders right now on major retailers like GameStop and Amazon for the physical versions of the game.

Valkyria Chronicles 4 Release Date Announced

In addition to the Valkyria Chronicles 4 release date, SEGA also announced a launch edition for the game. The launch edition only applies to physical copies so we recommend pre-ordering immediately if interested. The launch version will come with one of two extras depending on your location. If you’re here in North America, you will receive a controller skin featuring the adorable dog Ragnarok.

If you happen to be in Europe, you will get a cute Ragnarok sticker instead to place wherever you’d like. Valkyria Chronicles 4 marks the series’ first release on Switch, but this will still be a great place to start. The game takes place during the same time period as the original while introducing a new character class known as the Grenadier. New and old fans alike will be able to appreciate its strategic alternate history take on World War II later this year.

While the Valkyria Chronicles 4 release date was just announced for here, it has been out for some time in Japan. The game initially released on PS4 in March of this year with a Nintendo Switch release still to come.
