Vladimir Guerrero Jr., Freddy Peralta MLB The Show 21 Cards Arrive in All-Star Game Choice Packs

The 2021 MLB All-Star Game saw the American League defeat the National League in a 5-2 content this past Tuesday. A number of players had noteworthy performances in the game, including Vladimir Guerrero Jr. and Freddy Peralta. They’re two of the players who received new MLB The Show 21 cards in the All-Star Game Choice Packs. Here’s the latest about the new Diamond Dynasty content.

Freddy Peralta MLB The Show 21 card arrives for star pitcher

While Shohei Ohtani was under the spotlight, it was other stars who stole the attention this past Tuesday. The Milwaukee Brewers had several pitchers representing their squad for the National League in the 2021 All-Star Game. Corbin Burnes pitched the longest of any player, going two innings. While he struck out two players, he also gave up four hits including a home run, and two runs to the AL.

His teammate Freddy Peralta had a stronger outing in his one inning on the mound. Peralta finished with three strikeouts and a 2.36 ERA for the night as he did his job to prevent the AL from getting any hits.

That performance was good to create a new Freddy Peralta MLB The Show 21 card, now available in the All-Star Game Choice Packs.

As seen in the attributes above, Peralta will bring a solid starting pitcher with a repertoire that includes a 96-mph four-seam fastball, 94-mph Striker, and an 88-mph Changeup. He also boasts 125 K/per nine innings, 113 hits/per nine innings, 90 Velocity, and 95 Stamina amongst key attributes.

Vladimir Guerrero Jr. gets 99 OVR card as All-Star Game MVP

The Toronto Blue Jays’ first baseman continues to impress, as he smashed a 468-foot home run as part of the American League’s All-Star victory. That led to Vlad Jr. joining his father in hitting homers in the All-Star Game, which several other famous father-son pairs did. Those other stars were Bobby and Barry Bonds and Ken Griffey Sr. and Jr., making for quite a group.

In addition to that achievement, Vlad became youngest player since Johnny Bench in 1969 to hit a home run in the All-Star Game. He finished 1-for-3 with two RBIs, for a stellar contribution to his team’s five runs. That also earned him the All-Star MVP Award.

With that, Vlad received one impressive MLB The Show 21 card. It’s a new 99 overall Diamond complete with 122 Contact Right, 103 Contact Left, 120 Power Right, 112 Power Left, and 100 Plate Discipline. He doesn’t have Diamond Defense but has 75 Fielding, 78 Reaction, and 69 Arm Strength. Check out the attributes below:
