Receiving a game for free is always an awesome thing and that’s exactly what GOG is doing. In honor of its 10th anniversary, Good Old Games is giving a free game to anyone. Better yet, the DRM-free retailer is letting fans choose which game they will receive. This ensures that you at least have the opportunity to get what you want.
Unfortunately, tomorrow is the very last day to vote so fans should act fast. There are three choices to pick from for the GOG 10th anniversary free game. Those choices are Shadow Warrior 2, Superhot, and Firewatch. All three of these PC titles are generally well-received and a worthy addition to your digital collection.
For starters, Shadow Warrior 2 is a totally first-person action adventure title. The game lets you choose from using swords or guns to fight enemies across various levels. It all takes place in crazy first-person action. The game is even more known, though, for its off-the-wall humor as it doesn’t take itself too seriously.
Next up of the three GOG games is Superhot. This first-person shooter has you complete the simple task of killing all enemies on each level. What’s unique about this indie title is that time only moves when you do. If you move, the enemies will, too. However, if you stop, all of the enemies will including their bullets. This allows you to strategize.
Lastly, the final GOG game you can vote for is Firewatch. This game is a lot less action-focused than the other two. It is more akin to a walking simulator and has you play as a worker in a Wyoming park. Your only contact is the supervisor Delilah as strange things start to happen throughout the park.
