Excited to jump into Battlefield 2042, but wondering what maps you will be able to look forward to? As of launch, there are seven maps that are part of the game. On current gen platforms, up to 128 players can occupy a match, so these maps are quite large. It is also useful to be aware that there are additional classic maps in Battlefield Portal. Here are All Confirmed Battlefield 2042 Maps
- Hourglass: This map takes you to Doha, Qatar, where the dessert is consuming the city. You must “battle for control of a convoy trapped in the shifting sands” while dealing with decreased visibility due to sand storms and dust.
- Discarded: Journey to Alang, India where ships washed up on the beach. The hulls provide an exciting landscape for combat. Meanwhile, you need to contend with storms.
- Manifest: This map is set on Brani Island, Singapore. The description says, “Watch out for tropical tornadoes and navigate through maze-like cargo containers in this key trade location, vital to American supply lines.”
- Kaleidoscope: Battle around the data center in the metropolis of Songdo in South Korea. If you love ziplines, you will have a blast playing on the map.
- Orbital: Take the battle to Kourou, French Guiana. There, a rocket is about to launch and storms are on the way.
- Breakaway: This next map is set at Queen Maud Land in Antarctica “where oil extraction has turned the freezing area to a strategic hot spot.” You can destroy the silos and fuel tanks here to create fire or debris.
- Renewal: Last but not least, this map is in the Eastern Desert in Egypt, and features a giant wall with access points and gates that are strategically vital to secure.
As you can see, you are going to get to experience a wide variety of environments, complete with unique challenges and opportunities.
