What to Expect From New Death Perception Perk in Call of Duty Zombies

Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War Season 5 is here, and with it, a whole host of new content for the game’s Zombies mode. Included in that release is Death Perception, the ninth Perk to join the selection already available in-game. Like the others, this Perk can be upgraded through five distinct Skill Tiers to provide a range of useful effects.

Season 5 – The New Death Perception Perk

As the name implies, the brand-new Death Perception Perk focuses on improving player awareness. With this Perk, you should find it easier to keep track of enemies, and as you improve it, it will also help you to find better loot. When you first acquire Death Perception, it will grant you a single ability; you will be able to see the outlined silhouettes of obscured enemies through intervening walls and obstacles!

While this basic ability is certainly useful, Death Perception can become a much more valuable asset if you upgrade it with Aetherium Crystals. As normal for a Perk, it has five Skill Tiers, each with its own ability. These are as follows:

  • Skill Tier I: Your mini-map will now update more frequently.
  • Skill Tier II: When enemies approach from behind you, you should now see a threat indicator warning you of their presence. This is a perfect early-warning system if you find yourself frequently having to check over your shoulder.
  • Skill Tier III; Whenever you loot Salvage or High-Grade Salvage, you’ll acquire 20% more than usual.
  • Skill Tier IV: Your armour penetration damage will now increase by 25%.
  • Skill Tier V: Like enemies, Death Perception will now put a visible outline around chests, item drops, and resources so that you can see them through walls.

Death Perception should be a highly useful tool for any player, but particularly players tackling Zombies without a full squad. Without other players to let you know about incoming enemies, nearby chests, etc., Death Perception can serve as a simple substitute.
