What to Expect From the New Modern Warfare Broadcast Map

With the recent launch of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Season 6, four new maps are now available to play in the game’s multiplayer. The first of these is Broadcast, one of two new standard multiplayer maps, alongside Mialstor Tank Factory. The map is a remake of a classic, originally from Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare, which also makes a cameo appearance in Verdansk.

Modern Warfare Season 6 Maps: Broadcast

Veteran Call of Duty players – or indeed, Warzone players – may well recognise the layout of Broadcast. The map first appeared in the original Modern Warfare game, and it also serves as part of the Verdansk map, where it has a near-identical layout. For its standalone Modern Warfare iteration, Broadcast is largely unchanged from its appearance in Warzone, though it is contained in a much more enclosed environment, of course.

Designed for 6v6 game modes, the map spans both the broadcasting area and the building’s parking lot. Players can also access the roof of the building, where they can use the skylights to shoot down on enemies; an ideal spot for mid-range sniping. The parking lot is also a good area for sniping, although there is a lot of cover for enemies to hide behind here. In general, the narrow corridors and smaller rooms of Broadcast favour close-range or snappy mid-range weapons best. Expect shotguns and submachine guns to perform well here. Although, it’s worth noting that assault rifles may be better in the more open areas, such as the broadcast room.

When it comes to Killstreaks, aerial Killstreaks have very limited utility on Broadcast. As such, options like the Sentry Gun or UAV are likely to be more useful. Of course, aerial Killstreaks can still be used to clear the roof, which is one of the more valuable locations. Being able to shoot down on enemies makes the roof a key tactical position; albeit one vulnerable to Chopper Gunners, etc. Of course, bear in mind that much of the rest of the map is indoors or under cover, affording players full protection from aerial Killstreaks.
