What to Expect From the New Rytec AMR in Modern Warfare

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Season 4, just like past seasons, has brought several new firearms to both multiplayer and Warzone. The Fennec SMG, for example, was the first weapon which players will have unlocked. More recently, Infinity Ward added the Kali Sticks as a new melee weapon. There is another weapon which players can unlock this season, however; the powerful Modern Warfare Rytec AMR.

Modern Warfare Season 4: The Rytec AMR

The Rytec AMR, available for use in Multiplayer, Co-op, and Warzone, is free for all players who complete its challenge, and is a particularly fearsome new anti-materiel rifle. “This semi-automatic Anti-Materiel Rifle is chambered in .50 BMG for dominant long range assaults,” writes Infinity Ward; “A 25x29mm high explosive payload variant is officially listed as ‘experimental,’ but has been deployed on multiple classified missions with great effectiveness.”

Modern Warfare Rytec AMR What to Expect

To unlock the new Rytec AMR in Modern Warfare, you simply need to complete its challenge; score 3 Quickscope Kills while using a Marksman or Sniper Rifle… in 15 different matches. Once you’ve scored the necessary 45 kills across 15 different matches, you’ll unlock the new AMR for use. Note that, as per usual, this is one other way to unlock the AMR; purchasing a specific store bundle. The ‘Lost Souls’ bundle contains a Damnation blueprint for ‘Sniper Rifle Delta’. This AMR variant comes pre-loaded with the FTAC 488mm Dictator Barrel, Tac Laser, Cronen C480 Pro Optic, Stippled Grip Tape, and XRK Mastodon Stock.

While the Sniper Rifle Delta configuration does give you immediate access to the new AMR, bear in mind that you’ll need to unlock the weapon through the challenge method if you want to unlock its Camo Challenges and level it up. Whatever the method, once you’ve unlocked the Rytec AMR, you’ll be able to use it multiplayer, co-op, and Warzone. As you’ll soon find, the Rytec is a true monster, capable of destroying vehicles as easily as enemy players.
