What Treyarch Will Be Tweaking During The Black Ops 4 Private Beta

The Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 Private Beta has officially started, letting players on all platforms try out the game for the first time over the next weeks. Treyarch has already started carrying out tweaks on various segments of the game, after players’ feedback which will be made available over the next weeks, before the game releases.

Here are the first feedback on the Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 Private Beta, Treyarch will be addressing, according to their update post on Reddit:

  • Framerate: Treyarch identified specific cases where a player will experience a bug that causes the game to get into a bad state where framerate is severely impacted. Additionally, there are some known performance shortfalls in Gridlock that they’re working to improve for their next big update.
  • Load Times: Also they’ve identified a bug that’s causing maps to load too slowly for some players in a lobby relative to others in the same lobby (which results in those players missing out on the pre-match specialist selection stage).
  • Weapons Tuning: The team is looking at the performance stats of all weapons in the game with the flood of new data that they now have from the Beta, and will be tuning gameplay content throughout the Beta period and beyond based on performance metrics.
  • Special Issue Equipment: Some players have shared feedback about Specialist weapons or equipment that feel OP. Treyarcg will be looking through the data to make sure the achieve perfect balance on that note.
  • Bunny Hopping: Although jumping is an active mechanic in Call of Duty: Black Ops 4, Treyarch will be tweaking the feature which wasn’t working properly on the first days of the Beta.
  • Spawns: Spawn systems are always in constant need of fine-tuning throughout the life of a game, because there are always new and evolving player behaviors and trends that impact it. This is something that Treyarch will focus on during the Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 Private Beta for starters.

Furthermore, due to players’ request, Treyarch will be adding Free Cursor UI to the game, as well as changing the way Armor works. The latter is something that fans have been compaining about during the first day of the Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 Private Beta, so you should expect some changes on that aspect over the next days or weeks.
