While there may not be any human NPCs to interact with in Fallout 76, that doesn’t mean that there aren’t any NPCs at all. In fact, there are robot, super mutant, and more characters whom you can trade with, do quests for, and so on. Mr. Fluffy is one of these Fallout 76 characters; a protectron reprogrammed by a Responder programmer to help teach recruits about camping.
Fallout 76 Characters: Where to Find Mr. Fluffy
The first you’ll hear of Mr. Fluffy, unless you’re fortunate enough to simply run into him in the wild, can be found on terminals in Morganstown airport. To find the robot, you’ll need to start the quest “Tentative Plans,” and to do this you’ll need to find a specific computer called Miguel’s Terminal. This is in one of the metal hangars which lie to the east of the control tower.
Read the information on Miguel’s terminal, and you should find instructions on how to find Miguel’s camp. From there, head north into the wilderness, towards the border between the Forest and the Toxic Valley. There, in the forest, you’ll be able to find a small campsite. Here you can find the corpse of Miguel beside a collapsed tent, along with Mr. Fluffy.
This sarcastic and exasperated protectron will mention what happened to Miguel when you spend time in the camp. He also says that he has been stuck here for years, as he cannot leave Miguel’s remains. The amusing robot has a variety of wisdom to share about how to build your C.A.M.P.s; “If your camp doesn’t have all the necessities,” he suggests; “consider using irradiated garbage to add that special touch”; The robot also suggests that you avoid “riff raff” from discovering your camp by moving often. Mr. Fluffy will help you to complete a side-portion of the Responder quest-line, and can also be a useful NPC to see as you get accustomed to the C.A.M.P. mechanics.
