Wargaming announced an event dedicated to the historical Battle of Kursk a few weeks ago coming in World of Tanks. The event is now live, and it will be available for fifty whole days. Wargaming just announced the rewards available through this event, and some of them are gorgeous.
In World of Tanks, you can now re-enact the Battle of Kursk along with Wargaming. The Battle of Kursk was a World War II engagement between German and Soviet forces on the Eastern Front near Kursk, located southwest of Moscow. It was the most massive tank battle in history. The battle lasted fifty days, from July to August 1943. It is estimated that possibly over seven thousand tanks were destroyed during the Battle.
Now, in this WoT event, you will have to take on a new mission every day. However, you will be given the opportunity to pick a direction before you start playing those missions. These directions depend on the vehicles you own and what tanks you prefer. Additionally, the directions are:
- The North Direction (vehicles of Tier IV or higher, harder tasks)
- The South Direction (historic vehicles, but easier tasks)
Every mission you fulfill will provide you with various rewards. If you complete many missions, you will get many rewards, so make sure you take up all you can. Among those prizes are the following major ones:
- The T-34 shielded Tier V Premium tank with a unique style.
- A commemorative medal for participating in this event.
- A unique Kursk-dedicated style that you can apply to any machine in your garage.
In this event, many tanks that took part in the Battle of Kursk are included, most notably the T-34 shielded Tier V Premium tank which was produced right before the battle in 1943. Therefore you can imagine how fascinating this event is. You can now participate in the event and claim your rewards. The event ends on August 23.
