One of the many events scheduled by Wargaming for this summer in World of Tanks was the Football mode. The 2018 Season of that mode is officially over. While announcing the finale of the most exciting mode of WoT, Wargaming also provided us with some fantastic numbers to show off the popularity of this event.
The Tank Football 2018 seems to have been loved by many players of the game. For starters, the total number of players participating in the event was 1,886,015. And If you think that is high, wait until you hear the total number of battles played. That number is 20,710,579. In fact, one clan managed to fight 8,585 battles, making this the highest number of battles fought by one group.
From the battles mentioned above, 855,810 were fought in overtime. The most extended series of victories was 16 while the longest fighting without any goal was 38. Since the teams needed to score three goals to win the fight, the most frequent score was, indeed, 3:0. The tank that scored the most goals during the event was the midfielder tank T-62A, with a total of 3,696,805 goals – something to note for the future Football modes.
Moreover, the number of goals scored during the Football mode was 9,231,756. That is a lot of goals, indeed. The number of assists is also high, counting 4,062,692 assists in total. Of course, the event was offering great rewards, too. Among those rewards, there was also a football signed by Buffon himself. The players who were lucky to win that are 58,806 in total. Buffon must have been pretty busy this summer.
The Football Mode 2018 event might have ended, but Wargaming still plans many more activities for their dedicated community for this summer. You only have to continue playing World of Tanks to enjoy these special events. If you want to see the rest of the numbers that were not mentioned here, you check them out on the official website of Wargaming.
