Wargaming announced the update that will fix many issues players were experiencing in World of Tanks. The update is currently a draft, and they will continue reading players’ feedback to make sure everything works perfectly. The changes are focused on some vehicle rebalances and matchmaker improvements.
While Wargaming was trying to fix some issues in World of Tanks since May, the problems continued to persist. They have been monitoring everything and listening to players’ complaints to make a better update. That update will be active soon to see if this is the final fix the game requires.
The vehicle rebalances are the first issue Wargaming addressed. They changed some combat parameters for some preferential tanks. That was necessary for the balance within the game, given that some tanks were weaker than others. However, there is no guarantee that the changes will be reasonable compared to the performance of Tier VIIIs. Therefore, the combat parameters will regularly be tweaked to achieve the desired outcome. Those changes, of course, will not affect the gameplay-defining characteristics of the vehicles.
Moreover, there were also some issues with the matchmaker. It would often fail to ensure proper rotation between the top, middle, and bottom of the list. That caused players to be matched at the same position for several battles in a row, degrading the experience they were receiving. Wargaming tried to fix this as well. They lowered the probability of getting preferential Premiums in the +1 Tier and battles of the same tier. That can hopefully reduce the existing problem, though the optimal solution might take a while to be found.
You can keep sending your feedback regarding these fixes to Wargaming. It seems that they care about reviewing it and giving their community the best experience possible. If this update is still not the right one, they will soon repair all the issues based on your comments.
