World of Warcraft Classic Demo Will Be Included in the BlizzCon 2018 Virtual Ticket

Blizzard has unveiled the World of Warcraft-specific digital perks which will be granted to all those who purchase the $50 BlizzCon 2018 virtual ticket. Along with some faction-specific cosmetic items, virtual ticket owners will also get to sample the upcoming World of Warcraft Classic experience courtesy of a demo they’ll be able to play right from the comfort of their own home.

As was revealed in this new post on the World of Warcraft website, Blizzard will be showing off a playable demo of World of Warcraft Classic on the BlizzCon showroom floor. Virtual ticket holders will be able to download and play that same demo experience shortly after the BlizzCon opening ceremony on November 2, with access to the demo remaining open until November 8 (thus ensuring that BlizzCon attendees have another chance to play it once they’re back home).

Reliving the good old days in World of Warcraft.

The demo will feature two early-game zones, one Horde and one Alliance, which will be set during the same patch version as the full World of Warcraft Classic experience: the 1.12 Drums of War patch. Along with the World of Warcraft Classic demo, virtual ticket buyers will also be able to claim faction-themed cosmetic cloaks and war banners which their characters can equip in World of Warcraft proper.

Blizzard plans to offer a whole series of digital bonuses to virtual ticket buyers, representing all of the core games in the studio’s portfolio. Along with the above goodies, virtual ticket buyers can currently also claim a special Diablo 3 Demon Hunter skin for the Overwatch hero Sombra, and over the coming weeks additional bonuses will be revealed for StarCraft 2, Heroes of the Storm, Diablo 3, and Hearthstone.

Aside from its patch version, little else is known about World of Warcraft Classic, but chances are very good that Blizzard will have more information to share once BlizzCon 2018 officially begins in early November. In the meantime, be sure to read about World of Warcraft’s upcoming 8.1 update and its final Warbringers trailer.
