Despite its overt focus on user-friendliness and easing new players in (at least compared to some other MMO games), World of Warcraft can still be an intimidating game to dive into, especially given the many years of post-launch content it now also contains. With that in mind, World of Warcraft developer Blizzard has now teamed up with one of the game’s most prolific YouTube content creators, a YouTuber who goes by the handle Bellular, to create an ongoing series of in-depth video tutorials.
Blizzard and Bellular plan on slowly releasing new videos for the tutorial series, with one new video arriving each week for the next several months. In total, the tutorial series will span 10 separate videos, and the first video is actually available to watch right now:
As you can see, this first video is pretty basic, providing a brief overview of just what exactly World of Warcraft is and providing instructions on how to install the game client and create a free Blizzard account. The information contained in this inaugural video tutorial likely won’t be of much use to more experienced World of Warcraft players, but Bellular promises that future videos will cover more complex subjects such as character creation and the various methods through which players can level their characters.
Now is as good a time as any to provide such a video tutorial series since World of Warcraft’s Battle for Azeroth expansion is set to launch in just a few weeks on August 14.
