WWE 2K19 Superstars Xavier Woods, Ronda Rousey Competing at Gamers’ Choice Awards
Several of the playable WWE 2K19 superstars will be amongst the nominees for an upcoming video game awards show. The 2018 Gamers’ Choice Awards will celebrate a variety of video games across different genres. It will also celebrate moments within the video game culture, as well as celebrities who are involved with games. That includes WWE 2K19 video game stars Xavier Woods and Ronda Rousey. Woods started campaigning for votes just recently.
WWE 2K19 Superstars among nominees, Woods campaigns
The WWE 2K19 game is up for the Gamers’ Choice Awards, and so is SmackDown Live superstar Xavier Woods (real name Austin Creed). He’ll be contending for the Fan Favorite Celebrity Gamer Award at the event. Woods, who is part of the popular WWE tag team New Day, went to his YouTube channel UpUpDownDown to appeal to fans for their votes. His channel has become a massive success over the years and one in which WWE has other superstars drop by to play different video games with Woods.
Woods mentions he’s heading out on a promotional tour in Singapore. He asks his fans to head over to the Gamers’ Choice Awards website to throw their votes his way. However, he’ll be up against a few other wrestling stars in the category. However, he may have the popular vote due to his successful YouTube channel.
WWE 2K19 Superstars include Ronda Rousey
Ronda Rousey was among the playable characters made exclusively available in the early WWE 2K19 pre-order bonuses. Before the game arrived, she became the WWE Raw Women’s Champion. Her move from the UFC to WWE has been generally a successful one, ever since her in-ring debut at this past year’s WrestleMania. Rousey will also be up against her fellow WWE gaming celebrity Xavier Woods for the Gamers’ Choice Awards category.
There had been rumors ever since last year’s WWE Royal Rumble that professional wrestling star Kenny Omega might make a big debut in WWE. That has yet to happen, even though the New Japan star has fought some of WWE’s former or present superstars. Still, Omega is also up for the Fan Favorite Celebrity Gamer (Athlete) Award against Woods and Rousey. By the way, Omega is currently available in the WWE 2K19 video game through Community Creations.
They’ll be vying for the award with a number of other athletes. They include former UFC Featherweight Champion Demetrious “Mighty Mouse” Johnson, NBA stars Gordon Hayward and Jeremy Lin, NFL star JuJu Smith-Schuster, soccer phenom Neymar, and MLB star David Price.
