WWE 2K19 Tournament Turmoil Results: Legends & SmackDown Round 1 Match Winners, Round 2 Begins
The WWE 2K19 Tournament Turmoil results continued on Friday and Saturday as more superstars advanced in the 64-man bracket. The first day of matches saw Batista, Roman Reigns, and Velveteen Dream amongst Tournament Turmoil Round 1 winners for Raw or NXT. On the second day of Round 1 matchups, it was time for the SmackDown Live and WWE Legends to compete. In addition, Saturday brought the start of the second round with Raw and NXT back at it. Here’s the rundown.
WWE 2K19 Tournament Turmoil results: Legends, SmackDown Live Round 1
The Legends bracket provides some intriguing matchups including Stone Cold vs. Macho Man. In that first battle of the day, gamers watched Savage take all he could from the Texas Rattlesnake, but he ultimately fell victim to a Stone Cold Stoner. Austin moves on to the next round!
John Cena vs. Kurt Angle was also part of the featured matchups in the bracket. Longtime fans will recall this is the match that helped launch Cena’s career, originally as The Prototype. In this virtual encounter, Cena came up with the win to after nailing an Attitude Adjustment and pinning Angle.
“The American Dream” Dusty Rhodes also advanced to the second round. Others Legends results included The Rock over Big Show, Triple H over Ultimate Warrior, and Bret Hart over Razor Ramon. Also, in what some might call an upset, Eddie Guerrero defeated The Undertaker to move on.
SmackDown Live brought plenty of excitement to the matchups too. Our Tournament Turmoil predictions pick to win it all is Golden AJ Styles who won his opening matchup. He moves on to take on Andrade. Rey Mysterio won his opening round matchup and will take on Daniel Bryan. Meanwhile, the original AJ Styles also won and will get another matchup versus Daniel Bryan.
The final matchup of the day saw Rusev wear down The Viper Randy Orton until he was forced to tap out. That could be an upset in some people’s minds. Rusev moves on to fight Kevin Owens in the second round.
WWE 2K19 Tournament Turmoil results: Round 2 starts for Raw, NXT
On Saturday, Round 2 kicked off with WWE Raw and NXT superstars back in action. WWE provided a full video featuring each of the second round matchups for these two regions of the 2K19 Tournament Turmoil. A six-minute battle kicked things off for the NXT region with Aleister Black vs. Kyle O’Reilly. It was Black who fought tooth and nail to pick up the pinfall victory here. He’ll move on to the third round.
Rowe of War Raiders eliminated Pete Dunne to move on to a third round battle against Black. Other NXT winners for Round 2 included Bobby Fish and Montell Ford who will face off in the next round.
The WWE Raw bracket had their second-round matchups as well. Moving on to the 2K19 Tournament Turmoil’s “Sweet 16” will be Seth Rollins vs. Brock Lesnar and Braun Stroman vs. Roman Reigns. Talk about four elite ring stars from Raw going at it to determine who makes it into the brand finals for the region!
