WWE 2K20 Cover Star Roman Reigns Signs Multi-Year Contract Extension
Several weeks ago, WWE 2K20 revealed cover stars Becky Lynch and Roman Reigns as sharing this year’s honors. These superstars have each held a number of championships during the time on the main roster and been part of major headlines. More recently, it was announced that the WWE has re-signed their star Roman Reigns to a multi-year deal with the company. That’s good news for fans of the “Big Dog” and WWE 2K as it looks to promote the new title moving forward.
WWE re-signs WWE 2K20 cover star to a multi-year extension
With superstar John Cena away from wrestling to pursue other interests in Hollywood and television, Roman Reigns is considered one of the top stars in WWE right now. To keep their face of the company for the roster, WWE re-signed Reigns to a multi-year contract extension. Per Den of Geek, the particulars for the extension are currently unknown.
However, Reigns continues to appear as one of the top superstars for the company. He made a triumphant return to the ring earlier this year after previously announcing he was stepping away from WWE to battle his leukemia that had been in remission. Just last month, Reigns won the ESPY for Best WWE Moment due to his return to the ring. Fellow WWE 2K20 cover star Becky Lynch was also amongst the nominees for the award.
He appeared in a number of high-profile matches since his return including a singles bout he won against Drew McIntyre at WrestleMania 35. At WWE’s Extreme Rules PPV event in July, Roman Reigns teamed up with longtime WWE star The Undertaker. The pair formed an alliance for a first-time tag team match against Shane McMahon and Drew McIntyre. Reigns and Undertaker won the match which was generally well-received by WWE fans.
Reigns’ career work, video game debuts
In addition to his WWE work, he also appeared on the big screen recently. Reigns had a cameo role in Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson’s action film Fast & Furious Presents: Hobbs & Shaw. He originally made his debut in the video game NCAA Football 2005 based on his collegiate career with Georgia Tech. His WWE 2K debut came in the 2014 edition of the game.
Roman Reigns now graces the official cover of the upcoming WWE 2K20 video game alongside “The Man” Becky Lynch. The two appeared as part of a trailer commercial revealed for the game several weeks ago. They’ll continue to appear as major promotional figures for the game. It makes a great deal of sense that WWE would want to keep one of their top stars on the roster as they continue to progress into 2020 and beyond.
