On Thursday, March 12, WWE 2K announced the upcoming release of their fourth and final WWE 2K20 Originals DLC. The add-on content will be called Empires of Tomorrow and available to specific gamers who purchased pre-orders, or DLC packages. Here are more details on the final WWE 2K20 Originals DLC.
WWE 2K20 Originals: Empire of Tomorrow details
With WWE 2K20 Originals fans get add-on content that involves superstars in a new themed set of towers and challenges. In the first DLC, fans got to play through Bump in the Night. It featured The Fiend Bray Wyatt and other monster or zombie superstars. The final DLC, Empires of Tomorrow, brings a futuristic vibe with it based on the characters and description.
The new content includes a synopsis that reads “In the neon-soaked future-city of Neo-Osaka, hackers, androids and robot hunters roam the streets, all under the watchful eye of the all-powerful authority, Megacorp.”
There will be eight new playable characters for the WWE 2K20 Originals. Some of those include Hacker Asuka, Chairwoman Bliss, N14 J4X, Hacker Johnny Gargano, and CyberNaomi.
There are also two new futuristic arenas available in the mode along with “high-tech objects and superstar parts.” In addition, there will be Towers for that gamers must play through. These involve defeating a number of superstars to move up to the top of the tower. Usually, the reward is an unlocked playable superstar.
Previous WWE 2K20 Originals content included Bump in the Night, Wasteland Wrestlers, and the most recent, Southpaw Regional Wrestling.Â
The Empires of Tomorrow DLC arrives for gamers on Friday, March 13. Those who have purchased select editions of WWE 2K20 (WWE 2K20 Deluxe and Collector’s Editions), or have a Backstage Pass will get the DLC content automatically.
Otherwise, it costs $14.99 to purchase by itself through the gaming platform stores. Visit WWE 2K website for details.
