WWE 2K20 Problems Bring Refunds, Edge, & Twitch Rivals Tournament

Just a day ago we reported about the numerous WWE 2K20 problems going on with the game upon release day. Many of the gamers who purchased and received their copies were posting about how glitchy and full of bugs the game was. That ranged from messed up graphics for certain superstars and extremely bizarre animations in matches, or in general. Now, a day later, some fans are getting refunds based on tweeted screenshots. Despite the WWE 2K20 glitches, 2K also rolled out a promotional tournament with a big cash prize.

Evidence is shown of refund for WWE 2K20 problems

Earlier today, a report from Ringside News arrived talking about the WWE 2K20 problems that were not only comedic but also frustrating, as they “prohibited gameplay.” They also mentioned that some gamers who ordered the WWE 2K20 Ultimate Editions received their copies without the autographed items they were supposed to include. However, the good news appears to be that refunds are available without issue for fans who ask for them.

A number of tweets surfaced in which gamers showed proof they had requested and/or received a refund for the game.

That particular individual mentioned for fans to go to the support.playstation.com section of the PlayStation website to make a request. It’s unknown if Xbox or PC users have also requested refunds and if anyone has received one for those particular platforms though.

In addition, there were fans reporting other WWE 2K20 problems regarding the Ultimate Edition. Some who received their copies of the game found that it included a plaque inside but was not autographed as promised. However, “The Rated-R” Superstar Edge, one of the stars who was involved with providing autographs for the edition, says he plans to help out.

It’s worth mentioning that 2K also jumped in on that tweet. In their comment, they said, “Hey, everyone! If you bought the #WWE2K20 Collector’s Edition and you’re missing a Legend Autograph, we’ll take care of you! Please go to http://2kgam.es/2KHelpMe and fill out a support ticket so we can get started on helping you out”

Twitch Rivals tournament takes place for $50,000

The WWE 2K20 problems weren’t enough to stop a promotional tournament from taking place, though. On Wednesday (Oct. 23), WWE 2K and Twitch revealed they were having a tournament worth $50,000 with content providers or “influencers” participating in it. They showed a bracket of the various individuals who were competing. They included Chris Denker, SuperzombgBBQ, CMPulse3, and kingranny.

Here’s a look at the Twitch Rivals $50,000 Tournament bracket:

The tournament, which was live streaming on Twitch, also involved WWE superstars to evaluate the competition. They included Dolph Ziggler and Ember Moon who hopped on to talk about the tournament proceedings as well as other video game and WWE topics.
