WWE 2K20 Rumors: Becky Lynch Comments on Possibly Being the Cover Star
For several months now, there have been WWE 2K20 rumors involving Becky Lynch appearing as the new game’s cover star. It would make for a historic moment in terms of the WWE 2K franchise. The women’s superstar referred to as “The Man” would be the first female to grace the 2K game’s cover. Many fans are pulling for that to be the case, and during a recent interview, Becky Lynch talked about that possibility.

Sitting atop our recent WWE 2K20 cover predictions is Becky Lynch as this year’s cover star. “The Irish Lass Kicker” recently spoke to Vibe & Wrestling’s Vincente Beltran recently about what it would mean to be on the cover. She told Beltran it would be “the next step” based on how “The Man” has been making history.
“That would be the next step, wouldn’t it? Yeah it’s always about the next step and it’s always about being the first,” Lynch said.
She added, “The Man is synonymous with the first: the first main event of WrestleMania, the first women’s main event of SmackDown, in the first women’s ladder match, in the first women’s Royal Rumble, first SmackDown Live Women’s Champion. It’s all about being the first, so being the first woman on the cover of 2K20 would be awesome.”

Becky’s historic title reign, cover reveal date
Another first that Becky didn’t include in those comments is becoming the first-ever women’s superstar to hold two specific titles. She held the WWE Raw and SmackDown Women’s Championship belts at the same time. Lynch accomplished that feat at WWE’s WrestleMania 35. Many fans feel having Lynch on the cover of WWE 2K20 holding both belts would be the way to go.
Right now, she’s holding just the WWE Raw Women’s title. Bayley defeated her for the SmackDown title several weeks ago by cashing in her Money in the Bank briefcase. On Wednesday (July 31), WWE 2K revealed a teaser screenshot of Bayley ahead of their “first info” reveal for the new game.

On Monday, August 5, the WWE 2K20 rumors will finally be laid to rest as the official cover star should be revealed. Becky Lynch already knows if she’s on the front of the game, and plenty of fans are rooting for her to have that historic honor. Will “The Man” become the next cover star after AJ Styles, Seth Rollins, and Brock Lesnar?
